Hey everyone,
Well, I hope everyone's doing okay. It's been a while since I've been on the road. For a good reason...I lead the contemporary worship at my church now, and I could not be happier. Me a rock star? Pulleeez...I know in my heart of hearts that this was God's plan for me. But, I won't lie. It took me 3 years after moving back from Nashville, alot of heartache brought on by selfish desires, and basically hitting rock bottom before I decided to let God take control of my life. Not to sound all preachy, but what a joy it's been since that day in April 2007 when I totally surrendered to Christ. I've got a happy marriage, my own Allstate insurance agency, twin 2 year old boys, and now this amazing position at church. It's all happened so fast, and it's so satisfying and peaceful to know that God had everything to do with it. There will be other hard times ahead I know, but I am at peace with that and I trust God completely. I never did that before. I didn't have a personal relationship with Him. I grew up going to church, but there is a difference between knowing who Jesus is and actually knowing Him. I am so grateful for all my experiences in Nashville with trying to make it "big". I've met most of you there. My boy, Josh, played the drums for me for nearly 3 years. What a commitment! We definitely had our struggles. If we'd had a few more members with that kind of commitment, we'd have gone somewhere. Brian Waymire, Jason Hall, all my coworkers at the bank, my customers and friends I met there, Jonda...List goes on and on!!!
Anyway, I wish all of you the best! BY THE WAY, I'll be releasing a new ep next year called 'Oceans in the Sky'...some new songs, and old songs off of Spin that are redone in a totally unique way. I'm interested to hear what you think. I'll keep you updated.
